Artist Exhibit - Artist Timothy Stanley and I at the Crisp Ellert Art Museum
Thoughts: I enjoyed Stanley's conversation on "time" as a definition. "You should take the opportunity to perceive how other events or humans react in 'time'" means that humans have the capability to predict time as a mission and dynamic force. I asked Stanley what it takes to be a beginner artist. He stated: "always take your time" (Stanley). His perspective on time and advice connect the perspective of time's definition to how art is created in for a long-term period. Also, he stated that his inspiration came from creative storytelling through writing experience. However, his storytelling with art was the opposite of words. He conveyed a creative story "without words" (Stanley). Art is a world that is defined through visual communication. Stanley's perspective of words without syntactic expression changed my understanding of art versus writing and time versus quality.
Thank you, Mr. Stanley, for coming to the Crisp Ellert Art Museum!
